How to Get Started
By now you’ve seen that Keystone Law is a bit different and because you love your family, you know your family deserves the kind of protection, guidance and love we provide for a lifetime. It’s important that you know how we work because we do things a bit differently at Keystone Law than at other law firms. That’s why our clients love us so much.
Schedule your first free Estate Planning Consultation
Call our office at (480) 418-8448 to schedule your appointment. Our Solutions Coordinator will schedule the most convenient appointment time available for you with one of our specially trained client intake coordinators.
When you schedule your meeting, we block 1 hour on our calendar so we can focus on your family. We will send you some information to review before our meeting which will help you understand what your next step should be. During our meeting, we will learn about you and your family and help you learn about us and how we help clients. Our client intake coordinator will show you how we work with clients and guide you to help you decide what you next step is.
Clients routinely say, “Wow, if we had known how easy this would be, we would have done it years ago!” after meeting with us.
If you must cancel within 3 days of your appointment, and reschedule, we may ask for you to secure your second appointment with a credit card. We provide our very best service to those families who are looking for a long-term relationship with their trusted advisor. We expend most of our energy providing an exceedingly high degree of service to our existing clients and limit the number of new clients we see each week.
What to Do Prior to Your Appointment
After scheduling your appointment, you will receive important information (by mail and email) that you will want to review prior to your first visit to our office. We ask you to review this information so you will be educated about the basics of estate planning and then we don’t have to spend your time during your free one-hour with us teaching you these things. Then you can use the appointment time to learn about your specific situation.
If you have existing estate planning documents, please make sure that you bring those to your meeting so that we can review them.
What to Expect the Day of Your Appointment
On the day of your meeting, please expect to spend up to 1 hour with us. The initial meeting has two purposes:
- To identify whether there is a good fit between you and our firm; and
- To educate you about your options to help you decide what your next step is with us.
What Happens Next?
If you choose to move forward with one of our packages, we will teach you about our process, have you sign an engagement agreement, make payment arrangements, and schedule your next meeting to design your plan.
What Happens After I Sign My Estate Planning Documents and Take Them Home?
After the planning phase is complete, we want to make sure your plan is maintained on a regular basis. Clients can either join our VIPClient Membership program for a flat annual fee that will cover everything you and your family need to keep the plan up-to-date and will also cover extensive meetings with your successor trustees or fiduciaries. Or, some clients opt for an a-la-carte experience and take the updating responsibility into their own hands. Either way, we are always here for you. We welcome your communications!
You’ll be amazed at how easy and painless the entire planning process will be for your family.

The Legacy Meeting
After you sign your legal documents, we don’t just send you on your way and wish you luck for the future. Instead, we create an electronic record of all of your legal documents so you can easily access them anytime you need to in the future and then schedule a legacy interview with you. This is one of the most important meetings of our process because it’s where we:
- Ensure your assets are all owned in the right way (you can have the best set of legal documents, but if your assets are not owned in the right way, it’s all been a waste).
- Make sure everyone knows just what to do if and when something happens. Whether you’ve named them to take care of your kids, the money you are leaving behind, or you (if you cannot care for yourself), we’ll provide the information they need should something happen to you.
- Capture and plan for your intangible assets – the values, insights, stories, and experiences – you would never want lost.
- And this is where we make sure you understand everything we’ve put in place for you and your family.
Then, we still aren’t done! We contact our VIPClient Members every year to review your plan and make sure it stays up to date.
